Looking for somewhere new to discover, 30 minutes from town,
a treat for adults and children is the small creature zoo
Peuan Deratchan (friends of all animals).
Large picture windows enable you to watch your children
as they wander to see Australian Gouldian finches, parrots,
Mandarin ducks and colourful pheasants.
South American pygmy marmosets -the smallest monkey in the
world, the nocturnal slow loris and the chipmunks are so
close to you that you can spy on their every movement from
your tables, not to mention a whole list of other small
animals and insects.
In the Bangkhen district,
off Ramintra Soi 5, is the mini creature world of Pisit
na Patalung, the former Director General of the Zoological
Park Organization.
Here, you walk through
a small path guarded by a stone, life-like Komodo dragon
(the largest lizards on earth) to a friendly Thai Restaurant
nested beneath a great Manila Tamarind tree; comfortable
log tables for family Lunches and Dinners of Thai food are
served on a cosy setting.
Peuan Deratchan also arranges guided tours for school visits,
animal lovers, birthday parties & other celebrations.
